MAFRA NATIONAL PALACE - PORTUGAL
Portuguese Technology Company, Feerica, is situated in the town of Mafra. The Mafra National Palace, also known as the Palace-Convent of Mafra and the Royal Building of Mafra (Real Edificio de Mafra), is a monumental Baroque and Neoclassical palace - monastery located in Mafra, Portugal, some 28 kilometers North of Lisbon.
Feerica was founded in 1982, specializing in security solutions for Commercial Banks, ATM Protection and Cash in Transit operators.
It is a world-class, innovative and flexible engineering company with a clear vision and strategy to continuously develop and integrate security solutions with the objective to increase operational efficiency while lowering cost of operations.
Feerica started with development of security access doors, deposit machines and security systems for bank branches and financial institutions in Portugal. After the introduction of the Euro in 2002, Feerica was requested by Portuguese Banks and ATM providers to implement an intelligent solution to prevent ATM attacks.
During 2010 Feerica started developing their own cash neutralization system based on the following fundamentals:
Guarantee cash degradation during all types of physical ATM attacks, including the use of gas or solid explosives as well as logical attacks.
Eliminate false positives (activations) during replenishment and/or cash transportation;
Provide exceptional system reliability;
Have little or no impact on day-to-day operations providing easy to use products for all types of cash movement or cash replenishment;
Develop solutions that can be integrated with any ATM type without compromising note capacity or ATM functionality
Feerica products are designed and developed in accordance with Customer and International industry requirements and have certifications from the governing regulatory authorities in various countries around the world. Feerica follow best practices and processes with ISO9001 certification and endorsements by all major ATM manufacturers.
